LINGUISTIC PECULIARITIES OF STUDYING LEXICAL UNITS ON THE TOPIC "GAMES AND TOYS" IN THE PROCESS OF KNOWLEDGE FORMATION ABOUT THE TARGET LANGUAGE COUNTRY’S CULTURE

Abstract. The article considers the role of studying lexical units on the topic "games and toys" in the process of teaching English. The author examines the influence of language realities and quasi-realities of the topic "games and toys" on the formation of ideas about the target language country. It is concluded that games and toys are the means of transfer of spiritual values over generations. The units under study are classified according to a linguistic feature with the purpose to alleviate the perception of foreign culture and foreign language learning.
