THE ROLE OF LEXICOGRAPHY IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE DARGIN LITERARY LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article examines the history of the dictionary work of the Dargins, and also the influence of lexicography on the development of a literary language. The examination of the problem reveals that the dictionary work develops intensively: new dictionaries are created, a lexicographic technique is improved. The research shows that by filling up the lexical fund and carrying out the unification of grammatical forms, the lexicographic work has played a big role both in the formation and development, and normalization of the Dargin literary language.
