THE REALIZATION OF THE BINARY OPPOSITION "CONDITIONALITY / CATEGORICITY" IN THE RUSSIAN AND ENGLISH SPEECH

Abstract. The article conducts a comparative-contrastive analysis of the binary opposition functioning of categoricity and conditionality, where the term "conditionality" is examined not from the aspect of grammatical expression, but is characterized by innovative comprehension. The functioning of the categories under study is analyzed at the lexical and syntactic levels, emphasizing general and distinctive features in the Russian and English languages.
