TABOOS AND EUPHEMISMS IN THE HUNTING VOCABULARY OF THE TUVAN LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article examines the use of taboos and euphemisms in the hunting vocabulary of the Tuvan language. According to ancient customs and traditions of the Tuvinians there are words - taboos in the speech of hunters which are pronounced differently and their euphemisms. The study of the taboo vocabulary of hunting in Tuvinology hasn’t been the object of special scientific research so far. Language facts and traditional culture, the history of ancestors-hunters, their views on the world are revealed.
