THE IRISH LINGUISTIC PERSONALITY IN THE CONTEXT OF ETHNO-CULTURE

Abstract. The article deals with the notion of linguistic personality in the works of prominent national scientists. The main features of the Irish linguistic personality, its ethno-cultural characteristics are studied by the material of the words-realia relating to the national cuisine, holidays, traditions, legends, myths, and they are an area where the language and the culture come into particularly close contact.
