Abstract. The article reveals the originality of the Buryat-Mongolian literary creative work, and the features of the Buryat-Mongolian versions and variants of multilingual legends of Geser. The textual criticism of the Geseriada records on the old Mongolian script, among which the xylograph of 1716 was most widely used, is studied. The authors also reveal that the Geseriada includes the typical Buryat, Mongolian, Tibetan and other plots, as well as all-folklore and all-buddhistic ones. The main plot frame of the Geseriada is created on a common basis. The inter-ethnic, inter-regional literary-folkloric relations are conditioned by genetic and historical-typological commonality of the Buryats, Mongols, and Tibetans.
