CULTURALLY SPECIFIC TERMS IN THE ARCHITECTURAL TERMINOLOGY OF THE GERMAN LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article deals with culturally specific terms in the German architectural terminology. The names of settlements (urban and rural) and their parts, as well as the names of residential buildings are the most important among such terms, which allow getting a systemic idea about the culture of construction in Germany and other German territories. They are divided into groups depending on the method of construction, relationship to adjacent structure, readiness and attitudes towards energy consumption.
