"VIEWPOINT" PROBLEM IN THE STORY BY JOSEPH SHERIDAN LE FANU "GREEN TEA"

Abstract. The article examines the "viewpoint" problem in the story by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu "Green Tea". The narration is characterized by the collision of different views which presupposes ambiguous interpretation of the conflict under description. Such text’s arrangement allows the reader to see the story’s world from the different viewpoints and promotes deeper penetration into the characters’ inner world. The detailed picture of the depicted events forms when differentiating viewpoints.
