SEMANTIC CHARACTERISTIC OF LEXICAL PARALLELS IN THE YAKUT, TURKISH AND ANCIENT TURKIC LANGUAGES

Abstract. The article discusses semantic characteristic of the names of atmospheric phenomena and precipitation in the Turkish and Yakut languages. Lexical parallels are classified into the two groups: 1) bases without semantic shifts; 2) bases with certain semantic differences. The research is focused basically on the total number of Yakut-Turkish parallels and the correlation between them and ancient Turkic language.
