GENDER MARKED FORMULAS OF SPEECH ETIQUETTE (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE KABARDINO-CIRCASSIAN GOOD WISHES)

Abstract. The paper presents the results of investigating Kabardino-Circassian good wishes in the aspect of gender differentiation. The author justifies the thesis that the formulas of speech etiquette are distinguished by the different degree of gender markedness which is conditioned by ethnocultural factors. In particular, the researcher emphasizes that traditional good wishes are distinguished by higher degree of gender markedness than the modern ones, and gender stratification in the modern good wishes is associated with the addresser.
