LINGUISTIC REALITIES IN THE RUSSIAN AND ENGLISH LANGUAGES: TYPES OF TRANSLATION

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of translation of such a difficult stratum of vocabulary as realities by the example of the Russian and English languages. The variants and types of translation of a number of historical and modern realities of the Russian language, having a definite interest for both translators and readers, are suggested. Military, computer vocabulary, and also archaic Russian vocabulary have served as an example. The problem of transferring the equivalence, taking into account phonetic, lexical and grammar peculiarities of the Russian and English languages, is examined.
