THE SYSTEM OF CONVINCING AND PERSUASIVE ANALYSIS IN THE ARISTOTLE’S RHETORICAL WORKS

Abstract. The research is dedicated to the system of rhetorical analysis introduced in the works by Aristotle. The paper examines the combination of convincing and persuasive components of the statement persuasiveness in the Aristotle’s interpretation while analyzing communicant’s actions; the author describes the elements of persuasion in the Aristotle’s conception of oratorical speech and provides examples. The system of rhetorical analysis introduced by Aristotle can be used while investigating persuasiveness not only of the monologic statements but also of the dialogic communication.
