ON PECULIARITIES OF TRANSLATOR’S LANGUAGE REFLECTION AND BILINGUALISM

Abstract. The problem of translator’s bilingualism is considered. Such bilingualism always has a professional character and translator’s activity is a constant apprehension, reproduction and production of speech works, successively belonging to two linguistic systems. An example is given which illustrates a translator’s bilingualism and keen reflection of V. Nabokov’s translation activity, namely his bilingual autobiographical prose.
