ON THE QUESTION OF DELIMITATION OF THE NOTIONS "TEXT", "DISCOURSE" AND "NARRATIVE"

Abstract. In the article the interpretations of such macro-units of communicative and cognitive speech activity as text, discourse and narrative are analyzed. The author concludes that the text is characterized by materiality and integratedness into the discursive environment. Discourse as opposed to text which has a physical material information carrier is ideal and probabilistic. Narrative is a material-ideal substance as it includes both the material and physical text component and the ideal-discursive environment associated with the process of narration.
