IMAGE OF WOMAN IN THE UZBEK EPOS "АЛПАМЫШ" AND THE YAKUT OLONKHO "ЭЛЭС БООТУР"

Abstract. The article is devoted to a comparative analysis of women’s images in the Uzbek version of "Алпамыш" by Fazil Yuldash, translated by L. Penkovsky and the olonkho "Элэс Боотур" by P. V. Ogotoev in order to identify similar and distinctive features. In conclusion, it is ascertained that the types of epic female characters specified in A. N. Danilova’s classification are present in both works. But in the Yakut olonkho each type of a woman is shown by different images individually and in the Uzbek epos they are placed in certain images. Also, despite the differences in cultural traditions, the places of existence, and outlooks on life the images of women in olonkho and in "Алпамыш" are similar in that they have no influence of the clergy.
