TYPOLOGY OF THE ADJECTIVE CONVERBS OF THE LEZGHIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article examines taxis converbs of adjective semantics in comparison with the correlating taxis units of the Russian language. The available publications on this problem usually focus on the taxis converbs of adverbial semantics correlating with the adverbial participles. The proposed interpretation of adjective converbs (correlating with the participles) by the material of the Lezghian language serves as an additional argument to interpret the participles as one of the forms to express taxis. Their comparison with the Russian participles in the taxis function provides interesting observations for the typology of taxis.
