PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS IN THE MEETINGS (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE)

Abstract. In the article the phraseological units which can be potentially used in a business meeting are studied. Main attention is paid to the appropriateness of record in the teaching process of the use of phraseological units in the meetings not only of the thematic component, but also of the functional component. The authors give the examples of phraseological units associated with such various universal components of the meeting as organizational aspects, informing about the start or the end of something, the exchange of participants’ views, the expression of agreement or disagreement, the explanation of position, the awareness, the knowledge of participants of the meeting in some issues, the establishment of priorities, decision-making, the choice of strategy of behavior and so on.
