"CHINESE ASPECT" IN THE CREATIVE WORK OF FRANZ KAFKA

Abstract. The article examines the reception of China in the creative work of the German writer Franz Kafka (1883-1924). By the material of the story "The Great Wall of China" (1917) the possibilities of the interpretation of the Chinese aspect in the writer’s creative heritage are shown. China appears in the form of a metaphor, which allows revealing implicit meanings, particularly, the absurdity of objective reality.
