VARIANTS OF STYLISTIC DEVICES IN THE ENGLISH TEXTS OF BIBLICAL ORIGIN

Abstract. The article provides examples of using certain stylistic devices - quotations, allusions, reminiscences - in the English linguoculture of Biblical origin. The authors aim to describe English linguocultural code from the viewpoints of linguo-semiotics and linguo-cognitivistics. The mentioned code is a component of the generative model of a statement and the texts with figurative meaning.
