Abstract. The article describes methodological requirements for the textbook on the development of foreign-language skills in the receptive and productive forms of speech activity on the basis of audio-visualization under the conditions of the nonlinguistic higher education establishment. The structure of such a textbook is described, the specificity of the implementation of didactic and methodological principles is shown, the features of work with the video film are considered, and the examples of exercises and tasks are given.
