MEANS FOR THE FORMATION OF SOMATISMS IN THE FRENCH LANGUAGE (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE NOMINATIONS OF THE FRAGMENTS OF A HUMAN FACE)

Abstract. The article examines the means for the formation of French somatisms nominating the fragments of a human face by the mechanisms of metaphorical and metonymical re-interpretation. The paper suggests a specific analysis for the each identified synonymic line, distinguishes the basic types of lexemes constituting the French argotic somatic fund.
