REPRESENTATION OF THE CONCEPT "WIFE" (WOMAN) IN THE SERBIAN AND CROATIAN PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS AND STABLE NON-METAPHORICAL COLLOCATIONS

Abstract. The article deals with the problem of interpreting a conception of "concept", analyzes Serbian and Croatian phraseological units and stable non-metaphorical collocations representing a concept of "wife" (woman). Relying on the conducted analysis the author concludes that the perception of woman in the patriarchal Serbian and Croatian linguistic pictures of the world is rather negative. It may be conditioned by the androcentricity of the language.
