Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of reciprocal influence of language and culture. A brief analysis of the works on this subject matter is presented. Lexical borrowings from other languages, mainly from the English language, as a result of a cross-cultural dialogue in conditions of globalization and integration in world community are considered. Main ways of borrowings emergence are described. Certain necessary steps on restoration of the Russian language significance are given.
