THE PROBLEM OF QUASISYNONYMY OF TERMS IN THE ENGINEERING COMMUNICATION

Abstract. One of the most topical issues of the modern science of terminology is a synonymy of terms. This phenomenon may interfere with the mutual understanding of the specialists both from various spheres of science and technology and within a particular sphere. The article is devoted to the differentiation of the meanings of quasisynonyms in the engineering communication on the basis of semantic and valency characteristics of the terms. The paper is prepared by the material of explanatory dictionaries, study materials on engineering disciplines.
