INFINITIVE IN THE OBLIQUE CASE WITHOUT POSTPOSITION IN HINDI: ON THE QUESTION OF PARTS OF SPEECH INTERPRETATION

Abstract. In the article the possibility to use of the term "supin" in relation to one of non-finite verb forms in Hindi - infinitive in the common oblique case used without postposition is considered. Despite obvious similarity between the discussed form and supin in its classical understanding, the authors come to the conclusion about inexpediency of introduction into the numbers of non-finite verb forms in Hindi one more category as supin constructions can be interpreted in some way or other as infinitive ones.
