SPECIFICS OF FUNCTIONING OF THE ENGLISH-GERMAN HYBRIDS IN THE ABBREVIATION

Abstract. The article examines the reasons for the creation of English-German hybrids in the abbreviation, and also the specifics of their usage in the German language and functions of English borrowings depending on the type of nominated object. The paper emphasizes that the reasons for the creation of interlingual hybrids-abbreviations, their functions and intensity of usage vary depending on the concrete groups of abbreviations.
