FUNCTIONAL AND SEMANTIC PECULIARITIES OF LEXEMES ЭМОЦИЯ (EMOTION), ЧУВСТВО (FEELING) AND THEIR EQUIVALENTS IN THE FRENCH LANGUAGE

Abstract. In the article the etymology and peculiarities of the Russian lexemes эмоция (emotion), чувство (feeling) functioning in the meaning in general use and terminological meaning is considered, the origin of their equivalents in the French language is ascertained, the contrastive analysis of the semantics of the lexical units under research revealing their importance for the formation of more complex notions is conducted.
