SPECIFICS OF FUNCTIONING OF PRECEDENT TEXTS IN "SMALL PARABLES FOR CHILDREN AND GROWN-UPS" BY E. SANIN

Abstract. The article presents the results of the analysis of the precedent texts role and specifics of their functioning in the books by Evgenii Sanin "Small Parables for Children and Grow-Ups". The authors identify the types of precedent texts most frequently used by E. Sanin and describe the basic author’s strategies of introducing these texts into parables. The special attention is paid to author’s individual increments of precedent texts meaning. The paper concludes that precedent texts in small parables perform text-generating function and also present themselves as one of the basic means used by an author to influence a reader, to popularize humanist ideals and Christian values.
