DOMINICAN-AMERICAN PROSE PECULIARITIES (BY MATERIAL OF J. DIAZ’S WORKS)

Abstract. The article reveals the specificity of reality representation in writers-immigrants’ works, who moved from Latin America to the USA. The author pays special attention to the Dominican-American prose peculiarities explication. The notions "duality" and "dissimilarity" are analyzed that are the key ones for immigrant literature, J. Diaz’s works language peculiarities are considered. Attempt is undertaken to show the whole difficulty of new identity search process by immigrants.
