Abstract. The article describes a set of exercises allowing optimizing a process of teaching communicative skills in the Finnish language under supplementary education. It includes 4 complexes: aspectual exercises, exercises aimed at the aspects of communication, culture-oriented exercises and integrated exercises. The author shows the functioning of the system by the example of the topic "My family".
