COMMUNICATIVE AND PRAGMATIC POTENTIAL OF A PARATEXT IN THE PROSAIC NOVEL "HISTORIA VON JOHANN D. FAUSTEN lllttt...gggttt" (BY THE MATERIAL OF A TITLE, DEDICATION AND INTRODUCTION)

Abstract. The article examines paratext of the prosaic novel "Historia von Johann D. Fausten lllttt…gggttt" as a relevant object for studying communicative and pragmatic peculiarities of an artistic communication in Germany of the XV-XVI centuries. On the basis of the analysis of the means for textual personification of an author (subject of communication) and representation of a potential reader (addressee) the researcher identifies the forms of subject-addressee relations. Analysis of illocutionary power of the statements allowed identifying pragmatic focus of the texts.
