REPRESENTATION OF THE KANSAI DIALECT IN WORK "THE CAPE" BY NAKAGAMI KENJI

Abstract. The article considers the dialectal units of the Kansai dialect represented in the work "The Cape" by Kenji Nakagami. The most typical lexical and grammatical units of this dialect are revealed. Special attention is paid to the use of this dialect words and their gender identity. The author used them for giving the local colour to the work and for the achievement of its realism. In order to do this, he introduced dialecticisms in the language of the work heroes.
