THE FEATURES OF MEDICAL TERMS TRANSLATION IN AUDIO-MEDIAL TEXT BY THE EXAMPLE OF TELEVISION SERIES "SCRUBS"

Abstract. Television series, especially the American ones, have become more and more popular over the past couple of decades, and it generates an urgent need for their high-quality translation. This article considers the functioning of medical terminology in audio-medial texts and the translation features of the scenario text with medical terms taking into account its further auding. The author also analyzes the notion "a medical term", and discusses the possible ways of terms translation with the examples from the television series "Scrubs" (translated by MTV channel) and their analysis.
