RECEPTION OF CHINESE CULTURE IN ELIAS CANETTI’S POETICS

Abstract. The author considers the reception of the Chinese culture, as represented in the poetics of Austrian writer and Nobel Prize winner Elias Canetti (1905-1994), which is related to programme character and can be traced at all levels of his creative works – from autobiographical texts, notes, essays to the novel "Auto-da-F?", and pays particular attention to the Chinese philosophy influence on Canetti’s aesthetic views formation that influenced the originality of his poetics.
