Abstract. The authors discuss the problem of forming the receptive discursive competence of nonlinguistic specialties students in the process of teaching translation analysis of the professionally oriented text, and conduct the comparative analysis of the skills that form the receptive discursive competence and skills of the translation analysis of a special-purpose text.
