ON MANIFESTATION OF TRANSITIVITY/INTRANSITIVITY CATEGORY OF VERB AT DIFFERENT LANGUAGE LEVELS AND ON SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS CATEGORY

Abstract. The author shows that verb transitivity means close contact, close connection (including figurative, associated with sensations, perceptions, etc.) between its subject and object, tells that intransitivity can express both absence of the object, or the lack of close connection between the subject and the object/circumstance, and considers the manifestation of opposition of transitivity/intransitivity at three levels: between different verbal lexemes, between the different usages of the same verbal lexeme, between different syntactic objects.
