OPERATING INSTRUCTION AS GENRE OF DIRECTIVE DISCOURSE: PRE-TRANSLATION ANALYSIS

Abstract. The authors consider the genre of operating instruction as a kind of directive discourse, and suggest the sequence of pre-translation analysis when teaching translation with the purpose to ensure mastering by students the discourse and genre specificity of instruction text, which contributes to the adequate translation of the text.
