"DIFFERENCE" MICRO-FIELDS PECULIARITIES IN THE GERMAN AND ENGLISH LANGUAGES

Abstract. The author conducts the contrastive analysis of the constructions, expressing difference in the English and German languages, determines the structure of "difference" micro-fields in the composition of comparativeness functional-semantic fields in two languages under consideration, singles out the dominant and peripheral constituents of "difference" micro-fields, determines their functions, and pays special attention to the comparative constructions, characteristic of both Germanic languages.
