ON CORPUS FORMATION FOR RESEARCH OF FILM DISCOURSE AND FILM TRANSLATION

Abstract. The author undertakes the attempt to solve the problem of corpus formation for the researches of film discourse and film translation by means of open information resources, involves the sources containing the output data on movies, information about their translation, dubbing and distribution, as well as analytical materials about film industry, estimates each resource according to the completeness of titles, content and reliability of information, and conducts the research with the involvement of reference corpus, consisting of the English-language films that were released from 1996 till 2011.
