OPTIONALITY IN PUNCTUATION ASPECT (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE)

Abstract. The author considers the problem of optionality in the sphere of the English punctuation, shows that the logical-communicative nature of punctuation system in the English language conditions the optional use of punctuation in the English sentence, and presents the examples in which the optional use of a comma is most pronounced.
