ENGLISH-LANGUAGE BLOGS APPLICATION IN DEVELOPMENT OF SELF-STUDY PROGRAMME FOR STUDENTS LEARNING PROFESSIONAL FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Abstract. The author discusses the specificity of modern English-language blogosphere application in the process of developing programmes and materials for students’ self-study, considers the language content of blogosphere in terms of advantages and disadvantages of its use under the conditions of new educational paradigm, analyzes the approaches to the definition and organization of self-study in domestic and foreign pedagogy, and suggests the model of the use of English-language blogosphere thematic professional content for students’ classroom work and self-study, contributing to the development of skills of fluent oral and written communication in foreign language, as well as the formation of their own skill to set and solve specific problems in the sphere of intercultural and professional communication.
