Abstract. The article reveals the content of the notion "translation quality", which is one of the most important in translation studies, as it evaluates the translation process result. The author analyzes the criteria for evaluating the translation quality of dubbed animated films basing on the features of an animated film as a creolized type of a text and the features of dubbing as the form of film translation. The author suggests the criteria for evaluating the quality of animated films dubbing, and according to these criteria suggests distinguishing between the high quality dubbed translation, which corresponds to adequate translation, and the low quality dubbed translation, which corresponds to literal and word-to-word translation.
