CONCEPT "WOMAN" IN ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN PAROEMIA IN TERMS OF GENDER: COMPARATIVE ASPECT

Abstract. The article is devoted to the results of a comparative research on the concept "woman" in the Russian and English languages by the material of paroemiological resources in terms of a gender approach. The attempt is made to research not so much the differences between the languages, as how they represent the differences in cognitive (conceptual frame-based) structures associated with the different conceptual sphere of gender relations in ethnic and cultural consciousness of the Russian and English linguo-cultural communities. The author pays special attention to the features of gender categorization on a natural and physical level.
