ABSTRACT TRANSLATION, OR INFORMATION ABOUT INFORMATION

Abstract. The authors analyze abstract translation as one of the most complicated and popular types of the analytical-synthetic processing of primary documents, and undertake an attempt to reveal the internal mechanisms of this type of verbal and cogitative activity from the perspective of the theory of text by A. Novikov, on the one hand, and to consider abstract translation within the framework of the skopos-theory developed by H. Vermeer and K. Reiss, on the other hand.
