Abstract. The article presents results of studying primary school teachers’ readiness to implement new educational standards. The position, procedural aspects of teachers’ activity, the results of their work related to introduction of federal state educational standards of the second generation are examined. The analysis of teachers’ difficulties is conducted. Objective and subjective factors of their insufficient qualification for such kind of activity are identified.
