ON THE ISSUE OF TRANSLATING FRANCOPHONE TOURIST GUIDES INTO THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract. By the example of the tourist guide on Quebec "Tout savoir sur le Quebec" and its authorial translation the article gives a general characteristic of such texts. The principal difficulties occurring while translating a tourist guide are examined, in particular the problem of realities translation. As a result of the conducted analysis of the used translation transformations the main principles and recommendations of tourist guides translation are formulated.
