PEDAGOGICAL CONDITIONS OF AESTHETIC EDUCATION IN GYMNASIUMS: HISTORICAL ASPECTS (THE XIX CENTURY)

Abstract. The historicism principle allows considering aesthetic education in connection with public and state tendencies, historical events, the development of culture, science including history, pedagogy, psychology, literature and aesthetics. The aesthetic development of gymnasiums students was carried out by means of language and literature in combination with history, geography and other subjects; such techniques were applied as writing historical compositions by students, organizing "reading conversations".
