CONCEPT "VICTORY" IN RUSSIAN AND ENGLISH LINGUO-CULTURES

Abstract. This article carries out a comparative analysis of the concept "victory", which is a constituent of the frame "war" in Russian and English linguo-cultures. The peculiarity of this study is that a frame is not understood as a type of concept but as its conceptual limits, one of the slots of which is the concept "victory". The authors consider "the nearest" and "the farthest" meanings of the concept, reveal the limits of similarities and differences on the basis of its structural binarity.
