SUBSTANDARD VOCABULARY AS A TOOL OF MODELING THE LANGUAGE WORLDVIEW

Abstract. The article addresses the issue on influence of vocabulary on formation of the language worldview. Because of the fact that everything that happens in the society is in some way reflected in the language, the latter is simultaneously a keeper and treasury of social-historical experience of generations. Vocabulary of the language is a layer, which demonstrates experience of the people on reality development. Characterized by stylistic colouring and figurativeness, low or substandard vocabulary emerges as one of components reflecting mentality of the language speakers, as it is the closest one to live communication. Therefore, nowadays it seems relevant to consider slang as one of the main elements of modeling of the language worldview.
