PERSONAL STANDARDS AS A FACTOR OF PROFESSIONAL IDENTITY FORMATION OF PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS OF JUNIOR COURSES

Abstract. The article is devoted to the identification of the interconnection of the personal standards and professional identity of psychology students of junior courses. The paper provides theoretical substantiation for the notion of personal standards as a person’s ability to empower norms with personal meanings. On the basis of the empirical study the author concludes that a high level of personal standards contributes to the formation of professional identity, especially its emotional and behavioural components. The paper describes the causes of the existence of the low level of students’ personal standards; the ways of their formation are shown.
